Meet Our Team
Penney Rockhill, LCPC
Owner, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Wraparound Care Coordinator
I started A Penney for Your Thoughts, to provide a safe, comfortable, and non-judgmental space where you can come in, sit down, and take off the mask. Through my life experiences as a mother, clinician, and person I have gained a strong belief in the need to discover and accept ourselves, gain resilience, and be empowered to live as your ideal self. The first part of that journey is taking off the persona others expect to see in a safe environment.
I began practicing as a clinician in 2009 and prior to that worked with children and adults in the schools and community. I currently live in Southeast Idaho and have moved around a bit prior to settling here in 2007. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Business from Utah State University, a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University, and a Ph.D. (ABD) from Capella University where I added an emphasis in Play Therapy.
I have worked with children, families, adults, and adolescents who are struggling with behavioral, mental health, and addiction issues for the past 9 years. I am trained in Play Therapy, CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy), Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, MRT (Moral Recognation Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), MET/CBT, Trauma Focused CBT, Trauma Focused CBT Play Therapy, and IRRT (Image Refocus and Rescripting Therapy), domestic violence offender treatment, domestic violence victim treatment, and WRAP Around. I am also a State Certified Clinical Supervisor.

Katie Dodge
Licensed Marriage and Family Counselor, Wraparound Care Coordinator
I am a wife of 20+ years and a mother to three amazing humans! My oldest, and only son works for the Department of Juvenile Corrections, one of my daughters is entering her first year as a second-grade teacher, and my “baby” just graduated from high school and started school to pursue a career as a barber stylist. I love being their biggest fan and watching them become who they are meant to be. After completing a nursing degree, I realized that I wanted to help people in another way and went back to school to teach special education. I love working with the youth, but continued to feel as though I could help more. I went back to school and obtained my Masters in Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis on crisis and trauma. We love being outside and doing things as a family like hiking, bike riding, and kayaking. We are also currently foster parents to a beautiful 9-month-old baby girl!
I currently work at a high school as a counselor and love every minute of it! I get to participate in collaborating with other professionals to meet the needs of students and their families in our community. I have developed a strong passion for advocating and helping and currently serve on the Region 7 Behavioral Health Board and the Community Suicide Prevention Board. My career has been focused on trying to identify needs, promoting positive change, and supporting individuals/families.

Janae Larsen-Scholes
Wraparound Care Coordinator, Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher
I am a wraparound care coordinator who helps youth and families have a voice within the many systems of care they may be managing.
Before starting as a wraparound care coordinator, I worked with youth community service programs through juvenile probation and led mindfulness & yoga groups for adolescents. After completing my degree in Behavioral Health Science with an emphasis in Trauma and focusing my time in helping youth through mindfulness skills I am now excited to begin working with families through the wraparound program.
I enjoy reading, paddle boarding, cross-country skiing, and spending time with my fur babies at home.
I look forward to connecting with you and working together.
